To Mumbai on the Eway

Tring Tring..... Mumbai me huu rey..............

After getting onto the Eway and riding for few KM on it in the previous ride thought of having a full pledged ride to view the scenic beauty along the 150 km long way, very fond of Speed wanted to checkout the vehicles flying on the Black metal Skies.

The day finally came when Sravan called up and asked to come on a weekend to Mumbai, as I had no car to travel on the Eway( Bikes are not allowed) so opted for a Shivneri(MSRTC Volvo) to fly.

Not much pics this time but would like share the few.

Had not got any opportunity to get down on the Eway as "Rukna mana hi" on the Eway and tried for the pic from the Bus moving at 100+ speed.
Its ain't fog its Glass !!!

Got a clearer view of the road and the hill beside it and clicked on it.
Clear Na !!!

"Satya The Don", don't panic. After doing a little bit of shopping at the Palm Beach Galleria at Vashi, Palm Beach road we decided to go for a pub to do some shake our bodies. So headed to The Park Hotel in Bhelapur. The place was quite good with a Angrez babe and some local talent in the Pub. Had a dance till 2 Am and also a big hole in the pocket for 12K.

In order to remember the Big day I got a myself clicked in the hotel Lobby .

Main hu Don !!!

The Hotel was very much decorated everywhere due to some marriages happening that day and flowers every where. So got snapped with the flowers as well.

A flowery Night !!!

Done for the day and also done with the trip to Mumbai. Had no chance to snap as started late and it was dark. Boarded the shivneri again and the driver started screening "Shootout at Lokhandwala" in the TV and I sat watching it.

Worth watching !!!

See you later alligator :)

My Second Trip to Lonavala

A Ride To Lonavala

Recently had a Ride to Lonavala on a rainy weekend. Not planned much earlier, woke up late Sunday morning and got fresh and went out for Breakfast, we asked each other "shall we go" and nikal pade. We even didn't take our jackets or any thing save us from this rains and yes we had to pay the price for that.

Had our Discoverer fuelled up at the bunk in the outskirts of chinchiwad almost near to Dehu road and started our journey. There was very less traffic and we were travelling cool @ 50-60 kmph. We have visited a big Jain temple under construction on the way and then went reached the Karla Caves which were almost near to Lonavala.

The pics below are a reverse order of our journey they start with the last first.
Lets Start :

We tried reaching the Lohagad fort from the Bhaje caves 7 km before Lovavala and for that we climbed the hill to some extent on the bike but, that was horrible. The bike was like crying hard, so dropped the Idea of going to the fort and took a break njoying the music from my Ipod.
Lets Rock !!!

Light was almost going when we reached near the bhaje caves and then decided not to climb the hill to go to the caves as it was a bit far anyways wanted to have a pic with the caves, so tried this one with the caves at the back ground(far on the hill).

Creativity !!!
On the Way to Bhaje we have to cross this bridge over the Pune-Mumbai Express highway. Seeing the view I almost looked around and asked my friend am I in India or somewhere else.
Its India Surprising isn't it !!!

I could not leave the place without getting photographed with one of the greatest roads of India and decided to send the pic to the people in other countries and tell them....
Hey Guys India Rocking !!!

On the way to Ambi valley where these guys of Biggest Looser Jeetega are staying, this dam present and is called Lonavala Dam.

Biggest Looser Jeetega !!!

Enjoying the cool breeze and giving a good pose for the camera.

Cool isn't it !!!

In Lonavala we did some exploration and could find a place which I can say is the best place in Lonavala, the place is on the edge of a valley which would be around 1000 feet deep and the water pouring into the valley form all the sides. It's really fantastic. Myself and Chaitanya had to pose to my mobile with the self timer on, as no one else was there near by to even hear us shout.

Technology is booming !!!

The water falling in to the valley as I said earlier can be seen here behind me and, the valley also can be seen to some extent. Dont look for a Niagara, its not Niagara .....

Its Lonavala !!!

This pic features the famous Karla caves. This is a outside view of the Karla caves present 7 km before Lonavala. We tried to get in to the Caves but there is also a Temple associated with the caves and the queue was like almost 500 people were standing in the queue there. So we did go a bit near the temple and had a look and skipped the caves.

God is Great !!!

The caves are Buddhist caves and they look awesome from inside. Seen the pics from some website.
End of the bulletien !!!

So there happened our exploration visiting the Karla caves and Bhaje caves and finally my favourite spot in Lonavala.

Will be posting my Next ride soon !!!
Cheeers :)

Way back "Bheega Bhaga"

On Our way back from Alibagh we had to halt for some time due to a heavy downpour. I don't exactly remember the village but it is near PEN (Name of a place) and there was a small hotel in a hut, where we sipped a tasty chai. There was a Toll gate at the place and we have enjoyed for some time there watching the clouds passing at a very low levels.
The rain gave a break and we started off.
Ek ladka Bheega Bahaga sa !!!

At the Alibagh Beach

This Pic is at the Alibagh Beach and I am here accomapinied by the other two friends riding with us, Prasad on myLeft and Mahesh on the Right. Here the Carts drawn by horses can be seen on the beach. At a distant view in the samundar a fort exists which is where the great King Sivaji lived once. Alibagh has a Unique feature of High tide/Low Tide. Whenever a Low tide occurs the water in the sea goes back and one can literally walk to the Fort, at the time of low tide the water will not be more than knee deep from the beach to the Fort. The horse drawn carts carry tourists and bring them back to the beach and they follow a great calculation of the Tides and work accordingly.
Khudrat ka Khel !!!.

On the Eway

This is the drive we had on the Eway. There were some diversions at the Khandala-Kohpoli route and we accidentally got on to the Express highway and travelled a strech of 15 km on it. This pic is taken by our friend on the other bike and guys in the pic are myself and chaitanya( My room mate in Pune). Had a gr8 fun driving in the Eway as cars are like flying on it. We could travel through few Tunnels on the Highway and few of them were very lengthy and very dark. Awesome ride !!!.
